2017 World Wide Knit In Public Day
World Wide Knit In Public Day (WWKIPD) is about sharing the love of fiber arts with others as well as showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity.
WWKIPD is generally held on the second Saturday of June. This year’s Knit in Public Day will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Ann’s By Design will be sponsoring the Downtown Adrian, Michigan WWKIPD for the 3rd year in a row!
Knitters will be assigned to a public bench located throughout downtown Adrian in groups of 2 or 3 knitters per bench, and will knit from 10am to 12pm.
In case of rain, all knitters will be relocated to the Adrian District Library.
All knitters who register at Ann’s By Design and participate in Knit In Public Day will receive a small goodie bag and discount coupon.
Even though this event is called “Knit In Public Day” crocheters and other fiber artists are welcome to participate as well!
Knitters should register online, in-store at 118 W. Maumee Street, by phone at 517-438-8459, or by email at email@example.com, no later than 5pm on June 9, 2017.
